Property Tax

Residential protests · Dallas, Denton, Collin, Tarrant, Montgomery, Harris, Travis

We handle single-family residential property tax protests using a standardized, evidence-driven process.

Property Tax Guide

We disclose our complete process in the Property Tax Guide—not just that we protest your property, but exactly how we do it.

Reading it will save you time and clear up most questions. It shows you our methodology, the evidence framework we use, and what to expect at each stage. Most clients find it answers their questions before they have to ask.

Most clients have straightforward situations that our framework handles well. If your case requires a custom approach, we may not be the right fit. Questions after reading the guide are welcome.

01

Eligibility and Fit

  • Scope: Single-family residential protests only.
  • Service area: Dallas, Denton, Collin, Tarrant, Montgomery, Harris, and Travis counties.
  • Not accepted: Commercial property, land-only parcels, multi-unit residential, or matters outside the listed counties.
02

Legal Insurance

Legal insurance typically covers the protest phase for certain residential properties (plan rules vary). Common examples:

  • Primary single-family residence
  • Vacation home
  • Secondary home not held for investment

If your property qualifies under your plan, our attorney fees are $0. Out-of-pocket costs (if any) are not covered. The vast majority of our clients do not pay attorney fees for protests. We verify insurance coverage during intake.

03

Process

  1. File Protest. Review appraisal and file timely.
  2. Informal Stage. Evaluate district evidence and negotiate where appropriate.
  3. ARB Hearing. Present your case if needed.

We will contact you when action is required. Routine check-ins are not necessary.

Optional: Arbitration (after ARB)

If you do not accept the ARB result, binding arbitration may be available. Arbitration is a separate phase and involves statutory filing fees and third-party costs. We confirm eligibility and quote costs in advance.

04

Capacity

We cap annual volume to preserve consistency and service quality. When capacity is reached, we stop accepting new matters. Earlier intake increases the likelihood of availability.
